We have teamed up with Carby Box to immediately offset the carbon emissions from all Swoop rides.
Being green is something that is personal for us here at Swoop. When we first started the company, we always talked about our vision to get cars off the street, but also increase the vehicle utilization of existing group vehicles and bookings.
That’s why we don’t own any vehicles and feel responsible to utilize the existing assets given that vehicle utilization is currently only at 4.9%.
In addition to using existing vehicle inventory, we are now carbon neutral meaning that Swoop offsets carbon emissions from our rides, whether you’re riding with one of our buses, shuttles, limousines or party buses.
The projects we fund through our partner Carby Box prevent deforestation in critical wildlife areas and create sustainable jobs.
We believe that the growing group transportation industry should be part of the solution– and thus we have committed to providing carbon neutral riding for our customers.
In 2017, the two founders of Carby Box attended Vice President Al Gore’s climate leadership training and learned about the urgency of handling climate change today — and thus launched Carby Box — the first carbon offset company to offer certified carbon offsets through Amazon and Alexa.
